If you are looking for a Garage that you can trust, here are a few considerations that you may have to look into in selecting the place of your choice.
Reputation of the Garage
Reputation of a Garage plays a major role in your selection process. It is always a good idea to ask around for a place that you can trust – Your friends, relatives, or even a trustworthy business directory may help you choose a place.
Warranty Coverage
If your car is still covered by a warranty, you may want to look at a place that is authorized to perform the repair. Some places may claim to have the authority to do a repair, when it is not authorized to do so. Therefore, pay attention to find a place with some reputation. But, bear in mind that without a warranty your costs can be very high. Be prepared to spend 2-3 thousand rupees more than you planned for the repair.
Price
Garages charge heavy amounts for vehicle repairs. With a view to lure customers, the Garage may not disclose you all the costs at the beginning. The actual cost of the repair can be more than what you anticipate. Always request a detailed bill for the work involved. That way you can minimize any unnecessary costs associated with the repair – The Garage would not be able to charge you for anything that you did not plan to spend on, at the beginning.
Flexibility of the Garage
You may want to get a sense of the time frames of the repair. Can the Garage deliver the vehicle within your requirements? Or, can they finish the repair within a period that does not inconvenience you. Some Garages will work around your requirements to provide you with a solution. It is nice to select a place that provides you this flexibility.
